1. What should I expect in working with PUSH - Mama Care?
In all of the services we provide at PUSH - Mama Care, our goal is to make you feel taken care of. Whether you’re an expectant mother or you’ve transitioned to caring for your baby, you’ll encounter many new experiences in your journey. We want our services to help you feel confident and empowered to take on this new chapter in your life. In order to accomplish this, our service providers will work with you to learn about your individual needs and provide tailored, evidence-based care to best suit your needs.
2. How can I book an appointment or class with PUSH - Mama Care?
Appointments can be scheduled through our online booking system or by phone at (437) 994-7874.
Click here to book using our online system. For booking appointments, you will need to select whether you are a new client or returning client before viewing the list of services that you can select from.
3. How are you offering appointments at this time?
Most of our services at this time are offered virtually by zoom. When you book an appointment with one of our providers, you will receive an email with a link to join the appointment. At the time of your appointment, you will receive an additional email inviting you to join the Zoom call.
Appointments can also be offered over the phone. If you’d prefer to have your appointment by phone, please let us know in the “Reasons” section when booking your appointment.
Home visit appointments are available specifically for lactation services offered by our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). If you would like to schedule a home visit with our IBCLC, please make sure to select the correct appointment type when booking your appointment as virtual appointments are also an option.
4. Do I need to be located within a specific area to book a home visit appointment?
We can only offer home visits in the city of Toronto within a specific geographic area. Please refer to our map here to check if you are located within our boundaries. If you’re located outside of our area, please feel free to contact us and we can explore if alternative options may be available to support your needs.
5. What should I expect during an initial one-on-one appointment?
In initial appointments, our providers will spend time getting to know your individual needs by reviewing your health goals, medical history, lifestyle habits, and more as applicable. Based on this information, you’ll work together to come up with specific health goals and a plan to support you in implementing these goals.
6. What should I expect during a follow-up appointments?
In follow-up appointments, our providers will check in with you on your health goals and provide ongoing recommendations based on your progress. As your needs throughout your perinatal journey will evolve, your care providers will be to provide further education and will make sure all your questions are answered.
7. Are your services covered by insurance plans?
Some of our services are covered under insurance plans. Speak with your insurance company to learn about whether or not your plan covers the services that you are receiving. If the services are covered, you will be able to submit the receipt provided after your session to your insurance company for reimbursement.
8. What is your cancellation policy for appointments and group services?
Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance, or else late cancellation fees may apply.
